What is reflexology?
It all lands on your feet. Reflexology combines Chinese Meridians with traditional Zone therapy which establishes the interrelationship between feet and body. Each foot is made up of 26 bones, 30 joints, more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments and around 7000 nerve endings, all of which work together to provide support, balance and mobility.
In light of these complexities, it is not surprising that our feet are extremely sensitive to touch, pressure, temperature and pain. Reflexology is all about
using the thumbs to apply pressure and manipulate reflex points to
unblock nerve canals from detrimental obstruction and each
pressure point corresponds to specific organs in the body.
